COL Retired James Joseph “Jim” Truscott

Colonel (Ret) James Joseph Truscott, age 83, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Richardson, Texas. Jim loved to learn and to travel more than anything. His work took him throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Jim had a passion for exploring foreign countries and collected artifacts from every culture he immersed himself in. Love of the globe aside, Jim always considered the Great State of Texas and the city of San Antonio to be his home. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kay.  .  Jim is survived by his sons, James Richarde Truscott, John Michael Truscott, Jeffrey Kinney Truscott, Joshua Bryan Truscott, daughters Katherine Phillips Truscott and Genevieve McGovern Truscott as well as his eight grandchildren; Maria Djamissah Manalo Truscott, Quirino James Manalo Truscott, Caleb Elija Manalo Truscott, Jeshua Raim Manalo Truscott, Allison Paige Truscott, Alexa Katherine Young, Cooper James Truscott and Tristan Samuel Truscott and his longtime partner Rebecca Mackoy.
