Armond C. “Si” Simmons

Armond C. Simmons of Pell City, AL passed away in the early hours of Saturday, 28 Sep 18. He was surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Simmons was born and raised in Complete (Meridian), MS and earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Simmons was one of the original pioneers of the helicopter medical evacuation called “Dustoff”. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 24 years of military service. He also served 15 years with the U.S. Postal Service.
