Ronny E. Porta

Lieutenant Colonel Ronny E. Porta was born on May 11, 1936 to Harold E. Porta and Lena E. (McCallister) Porta in Humansville, Missouri.  He passed away April 17, 2020 Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri.

He attended University of Missouri Columbia where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1958. On December 18, 1960, Ronny married Donnealia Faulkner of Baxter Springs, Kansas.

Ronny was commissioned in the U.S. Army in 1966 where he trained as an aero-medical helicopter pilot in Ft. Wolters, TX and Ft. Rucker, AL. Ronny served two tours in Vietnam, flying over 3000 hours and evacuated thousands of military and civilian personnel. In 1985, Ronny retired from the Army at Ft. Leonard Wood. He then went to work for West Central in Appleton City, Missouri, where he retired in 1999.

He is survived by his wife Donnealia of the home; two children, Jeanne Hunter of Murietta, California and Brady Porta and wife Becky of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandchildren: Olivia Porta-Randle and husband Dacota, Kira Hunter, Logan, Coleman, and Morgan Porta, and great-grandchild Kathryn Randle.
