Gary Tuttle

Gary Edward Tuttle, the oldest son of LtCol George Edward Tuttle Ret. and Ruth E. Tuttle, served in Vietnam as a Medevac helicopter pilot and aircraft commander with the 498th Medical Air Ambulance Company “Dustoff”. He was a decorated Chief Warrant Officer, Army Aviator, that saved lives at great risk to himself, his crew and aircraft. Before joining the Army he worked as a copyboy at the Orlando Sentinel and attending Orlando Junior College and the University of South Florida in Tampa. After completing his Army service, he worked at Walt Disney World in the Transportation Department driving Monorails and earning a Bachelors degree in accounting from Florida Technological University (now UCF). He worked as an auditor for the IRS and a Supervisory Auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency retiring in 2015. A faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Indialantic he was inspirational in the fellowship of Christ. He was pre deceased by his wife Jeannie (Cogdill) and oldest daughter Jessica and survived by his daughter Amanda, and six grandchildren: Hannah, Tim, Grace, Jacob, Eden & Olivia and two sisters and two brothers.
