
Paul Allen Sines, age 81, passed away on July 8, 2026.He was a decorated Army veteran. He retired as a 1st SGT, After serving 2 tours in Vietnam as a DUSTOFF combat medic, and other posted assignments, he returned to Georgia to make it his home. After retirement and moving into his civilian life, he continued to serve his country as a readjustment counselor at the Veteran’s Center, he worked various positions within the City of Savannah and Chatham County governments. He was chosen as the veteran of the year in 1998 for Chatham County. As a fierce advocate for his military brothers and sisters, he was instrumental in the planning and fundraising for our local Vietnam Memorial located downtown., being recognized for his dedication for the memorial. Paul was an avid artist and writer, a passionate fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Georgia Bulldogs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all he met.
Mr. Sines is survived by his wife Evann Sines; daughter, Becky (Jack) Beddow; step-daughter, Kimberly Tatom; step-son, Robert (Paulette) Prouse, Jr. and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hodgson Chapel. A memorial service will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
