Ty passed away October 4, 2020 at home at the age of 38 years, 3 months and 12 days. He was preceded in death by grandparents Arlo and Elaine Becker and Jim and Mildred Hansen and by favorite aunts, uncles, and cousin. Tyrell Becker Hansen was born June 22, 1982 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from Osseo High School in 2000, where he loved to play football. Ty proudly wore number 57 and greatly enjoyed playing with his teammates. He had a life-long love of baseball and football and was a rabid Vikings fan. He secretly liked the Packers too, as much as he denied it. Ty worked at Twin Cities Auto Glass where he installed glass for celebrities, first responders, and others throughout the metro area.
In 2014 Ty enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard, rising quickly in the ranks to Sergeant. He was deployed from 2018 to 2019 serving in Kuwait and Iraq as a Blackhawk Medevac Crew Chief and Mechanic. Ty was proud to be in the Army National Guard protecting and serving his country. He wore his uniform proudly. Charlie Company was his second family. He always had their backs and knew that they had his. Ty joined the Federal Technician family in 2016 and recently earned permanent GS 11 status.
Ty loved his 5 children to the moon and back. He always put everyone’s best interests before his own. He was an amazing husband, father, son and friend. Ty enjoyed riding his Harley bike: he would claim his snoring was copying the rumble of a Harley when he drove it. Other pastime favorites were fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, traveling, experiencing new sights. He was content doing any activity as long as it was outside. Wherever he went he either saw a friend or made a new one. His smile would light up a room. His hugs could take away pain. He wasn’t satisfied until a job was completed to his high standards. Blame his mom. Ty passed away October 4, 2020 at home at the age of 38 years, 3 months and 12 days.
