Donald Maximilian Maciejewski

Don left us suddenly on July 17, 2012 at age 58. Don was a preeminent trial lawyer, being one of the 33 Board Certified Aviation Law attorneys in the State of Florida; he was a great lawyer, teacher, mentor, friend, confidant, son, husband, father, and grandfather. Don loved his family, his GOD, and his country with a gusto unparalleled.  Don was a proud military pilot in the United States Army, retired from the United States Army Reserve as a Major and has flown numerous helicopter and fixed-wing aircrafts.  He was in the Army Medical Service Corps and flew numerous critical medevac missions.  He was an Adjunct Professor at Florida Coastal School of Law, a lecturer and instructor in aviation law, products liability law, negligence law, and trial practice. He held a Bachelor of Science degree, Master of Science degree in Aviation Safety from the University of Southern California and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree. He has been a practicing trial lawyer since 1990 and has been admitted to practice in the Courts of Maryland, Florida, Georgia, the District of Columbia, All Federal Courts and the United States Court of Military Appeals.  Don is survived by his grieving beloved wife Judy; son Davey and daughter-in-law Sheryl; grandson, Brandon; mother, Wilfreda; brother, Robert and his wife, Joanie.   Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Rev Frank Iacona as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery.
