15th Med chopper crash in 1971. Medic died while     pilot and crewchief survived.

Cox-Klemin XA-1 (later   called A-1). Two ordered by the Army in 1923, but not delivered until 1925 and   1926. Served mostly at Kelly Field and France Field (Philippines). One pilot,   one doc, and two patient capacity. Serial #s 23-1247/1248. Single Liberty 12   400 hp Engine. The Kelly Field bird got national renown when it provided   disaster support to the Rock Springs, Texas Tornado disaster.
